Luiss Enlabs invites Ukrainian startups

Italian business accelerator Luiss Enlabs , which previously focused on local projects solely, opens its doors to international start-ups, including Ukrainian ones. By September 25, the company accepts applications for two accelerated programs lasting for five months. Participants get 30,000 euros of investment and another 50,000 euros in services, giving its share of 9%.

By September 25, the applicant may choose and apply to one of the programms:

  • for all types of digital start-ups (the program takes place in the company's Roman campus);
  • a newly establsihed program for lifestyle projects in the spheres of luxury, wellness, automotive, food, design and fashion (takes place in Milan)

Both accelerating programs will be held from December to May 2018. Their participants will receive 80,000 euros of investment (30,000 euros in cash and 50,000 in services) in exchange for a 9% share in the project. Throughout the program, the startups will be provided with places in the coworking, access to a network of corporations ready to cooperate with the project, and a network of experts. The latter will also be asked to reserve a 3% share in the project.

Google gives chance to Ukrainian startups

Google has expanded the list of countries, teams from which can participate in the accelerated program Launchpad Accelerator. Representatives from 20 countries, including Ukraine, will be able to apply for the program for the first time. The current set is open until October 2.

Launchpad Accelerator offers a two-week fully paid program at the company's office in San Francisco. During this time, participants will receive mentoring support from more than 20 teams from Google and other Silicon Valley companies and investors. The company does not require any shares of the project within the program. Startups also receive funds for using Google products and PR support. Within half a year after the end of the program, the projects will be able to closely cooperate with the company already in their home country.

People.ai gets more investment

People.ai, the startup with Ukrainian roots, announced the involvement of another round of financing - four months after the previous one when the company managed to raise $7 million. Leading investors in the round are GGV Capital (the main investor in Airbnb & Alibaba) and the lead investor in the previous round is Lightspeed Venture Partners. Y Combinator and a group of angels from the companies Salesforce, Twilio, Google and Facebook also participated in the round.

People.ai is an artificial intelligence platform for managing sales. It helps to improve the effectiveness of sales teams, analyzing their performance and providing recommendations for closing deals.
